The City of Milton’s Parks & Recreation will kick-off our 2017 football season with our Strength & Conditioning Camp which will run from July 10th through July 27th. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6pm to 8pm at the Guy Thompson Community Center located at 5629 Byrom Street, Milton, FL.
On July 17th through July 19th the Milton High School football team will hold a camp from 6pm to 8pm at the Milton High School. There is no charge to participate if your youth is registered with the City of Milton football program.
There will be a Parents meeting on July 27th at the Guy Thompson Community Center gym, at 7pm. This is for parents to gain information about the upcoming year and to ask questions.
Football season will start on July 31st and run through October 31st. Games will be played on Saturdays in the Milton/Pensacola area; (8) football games (4) home/ (4) away. Football practice will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6pm to 8pm. Parents will need to purchase a practice jersey (mesh jersey) and practice football pants (any color besides black) and cleats. If your child loses any equipment it will be the parents’ responsibility to replace it. Youth should wear t-shirts, shorts, and shoes; please bring water to drink.
Once school is back in session, the practice time will adjust to 5:30pm to 7:30pm. All practices will be held at the Guy Thompson Community Center football fields.
Included in the cost of participation your child will receive: (8) football games (4) home/ (4) away, use of football equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, game pants, and jersey), End of Year trophy, and a pizza party.
If the team makes the play-offs the dates for play-offs are November 4th, 11th with a championship game being played on November 18th.
