Milton Police help King Middle School with traffic control

Milton Police presentation

The Milton Police Department recently presented King Middle School with a new stop sign to help with traffic control before and after school.

This is not your typical stop sign, but one that is bigger than most hand held signs and it also has buttons to allow it to flash and be even more visible.

Captain Tony Tindell presented the sign to .King Middle School Principal Darren Brock and Vice Principal Margaret McCormick.

Capt. Tindell indicated that King Middle School is in a unique situation when it comes to its location.

King Middle School is located on North Stewart St. and students going there have to cross four lanes of traffic plus a turning lane every morning and afternoon.

The stop sign donated to King Middle was won by Milton Police Corporal Mike Cline at a conference he attended.
